History

Founded in 1999 by Paula Cook, a teacher and mother of three from Groombridge; the Humpty Dumpty Club now entertains more than 300 children a week in Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks, Wadhurst, Hildenborough & Groombridge. Progressing from a simple sing-a-long, to a musical discovery session and social event for the parents, Humpty Dumpty is one of the leading music clubs in the area suitable for both babies and pre-school aged children.

“Our greatest strength,” Paula says, “is that we are not a franchise business but a truly local group that has evolved and grown through word of mouth. All my teachers have been with me since the outset so we really know our audience, classes are accompanied by an extraordinary range of percussion instruments, props and puppetry much admired by all who come to our classes."

In 2017 the business was taken over by Georgie Curties-Bilton, who has an extensive musical background. A former nanny to numerous London-based families. Georgie has been attending music classes with her charges for 10+ years. She hopes to expand the business to more local areas in Sussex.
